Anyone know anything about these guys? I am looking at getting something for my Jeep and they are quite a bit cheaper than any other place I have seen. I might go with these guys I just hope they have good customer service and have products in stock. Any info?

They are pretty good. Odds are they dont have it in stock and it will ship direct to you from the Vendor. If this is something you need in a hurry you need to ask for a delivery date.

Not bad people. I sold him my fenders to Mike last Monday and was down at his new store, and I might, possible, if things work out get him to let me work there part time, maybe. :D

X2 They hardly stock anything. Try giving Northridge4x4 a shot{click on sig pic}, prices are comparable to Rock Shop and Northridge price matches pretty good also. Also ANY order over $100 is free shipping.

I used to use Rock Shop exclusively until they stopped stocking so much and the shipping cost are outrageous straight from vendors sometimes. Apparently they don't do to many installs as I've called them on a couple of occasions with no luck on tech support...........Northridge ALWAYS bails me out.

I have yet to have a bad experience with RockShop. I know things are a little hectic since Paul up and left but they are still good to work with and I will continue to use them. I have yet to pay any shipping on anything I have purchased from them. The only thing I dont like about Northridge is they are all the way out on the west coast.

Ok so maybe the price isn't quite as great as I had originally thought, here is the deal. I am looking at engine skid plates. I have pretty much decided on either a Jeepmedic or Skidrow. Did a little searching last night and saw that 4x4rockshop has the JM for $224.95 and free shipping, Northridge is $290 and free shipping. I was like wow that is a steal(I have done a little searching before) but then I read everything. The one from rockshop is not powder coated. So my question to you guys, is it worth it to get the powder coated one? How well does the powder coating hold up? Should I just get the non coated one and use some spray paint? Here are the links, thanks for the input.

hey off camber, do you know what you need to put in your order forms on rockshops site to get free shipping??? Every time ive ordered from them I always get free shipping. Ive also used northridge and I like them both, Just usually i get my stuff faster from rockshop since they are closer. Also for those who didnt know rockshop just opened there new shop, so they are actually gonna be stocking more than what they have been in the past.

well i just contacted them and they will not do free shipping. With heavier parts shipping kills you. Im trying to get PSC trail corners from anywhere that will do free shipping. shipping has been anywhere from $25-$50. im not tring to low ball anyone but money is as always the deciding factor. i just need to know who to talk nice to.

At 4x4rockshop shipping must depend on what you order. Some looks to be free other stuff does not. If you check out Northriddge on the psc stuff they charge you a shipping fee from psc. So the $35 is probably a fee that they are required to charge.

Any input on the powder coating of the skid plate?

Powder coating on an engine skid? Forget about it....flat black spray paint works great, especially considering that that skid is going to get scraped and gouged routinely. I get under my rig and go over all my skids with spray paint after a wheeling trip to cover up all the nicks and gouges so they don't rust. Powder coating would not hold up to most of those hits I am covering with paint.

$151.00 for the PSC trail corners sounds about right. Maybe I just got them on some kind of deal or something but I did not pay for shipping.

Nothridge doesn't stock Spyder anymore because you never know how long it will take to get the part. Spyder is pathetically slow and any vendor that actually has some of their stuff in stock.....feel lucky. I'd probably pay a shipping charge from a vendor that has the part on hand. From time of order it took 9 weeks for my tube fenders to get here I bought at Northridge from Spyder. And that was free shipping. That's the first "Manufacturer Required Shipping Charge" I've seen on Northridges site. But then again I don't shop for Spyder stuff on there anymore either.

Just looked at Rockshop's page and they only have some Spyder tube fenders in stock, no corners. I'd call Spyder first to see if they have any on hand.

No I don't. Some stuff I got free shipping on, others no. Just depends on what it is.
