For everyone that doesnt know, My Dad and I are builders, along with a couple other business we run.

Last August my Dad let me build my first house on my own, after 5 years of supervising his job sites. I just sold my first house last week, we close on the 15th. Im totally excited about it, and think for my first one I did really well. Here are a few pics, theses are a few weeks olds, doesnt show the yard hydroseed, also what we do.

Very nice! Many years ago I worked as an estimator for a heavy construction company. The owner also developed individual lots, here & there. I had the opportunity to build a few homes, and it was interesting & fun.

You've done a nice job, stay with it.

I'm really beginning to HATE remodeling. We've been doing that for over a year now, but the end of the major remodel is in sight!

That house looks really good. More interior pics would be nice if you have some. :) I'll check that link.

I like more of a hands on project, with new construction I only physically do a few things, like insulation, and punch lists. Everything else is contracted out. Worst part about overseeing job sites is the "hurry up and wait" part of it. Rush to meet someone, then wait as they are always late.

With the remodels we do I get to gut the houses, which is my fav part, then start the rebuild. Only things I dont do is drywall and rough-in electrical. I do most all of the plumbing repair if needed, carpet, paint, trim, hang all electrical fixtures.

Ya it looks like they took the house off the site this morning. If i get a chance ill go take some pics myself and post them up.

My kitchen has been down for a couple of days because I tiling it, which is drivng my wife (who is pregnant) crazy. I can only imagine what it would be like after not having a complete house after a year:rolleyes: This is my first real remodel, if you can call it that, there is a lot of work that goes with it.
