Well my 1/2 Silverado was workin a little harder than I wanted it to with towing my Jeep around, so I decided to step up. Found myself an '04 Ram 3500 with Cummins and six speed. Gotta love the torque of a diesel. :D

ya shoulda got a D-Max.
LOL.
Great looking Cummings there. That truck will rust away before that engine dies. I wish I would have found a single wheel 3500 for the price I got my Duallie for
drool......... drool.........

Yeah, I couldn't pass this deal up. Friend of mine @ work found it on his diesel forum (he's got a second gen dodge). It is set up nice, goose neck, muffler, cold air intake, and a tst box with turbo timer. Went down to Georgia to get it yesterday and my friend Max and I were playing the whole way back!

If that thing wont pull a jeep up the side of a mountain then none will. Oh, wait mine did last year, with two jeeps on the back. HaHa
I do like your truck and the color is right on.

Good looking truck.
I just got a new tow rig too. Got a 2003 Chevy 2500HD extended cab 4x4 Duramax. Got it Wednesday and love it.
Man evryone is buying diesels. I should've bought a gas burner. With everyone buying these things the price of fuel is going through the roof.
Bama_Patriot that sounds exactly like the truck I bought a couple of weeks ago. You're right, I love it too. What color?

Did you want a 6 speed?
Would rather be driving a Ford but looks good I guess.

4.88's and 33's really aren't too bad. :) But it wouldn't surprise me. :)
on my dually I get 20+ MPG on highway and 15-17MPG around town and 13-16 towing.

Mine currently gets about 16mpg on the hwy and about 12mpg towing one jeep and 10mpg towing both. Hopefully that will change today.
Oooo Andy I know yours is quite a bit bigger than mine but I'm getting about 21mpg everywhere. I haven't loaded it down yet so we will see.

Picked the truck up in Georgia this past weekend and was getting 19-20 on highway and I was playing around with my friend Max. Overall, I am very impressed and love the truck.

Got back with my truck a little while ago. Much better!!!!!! The superchip was smoked. They replaced it with the edge system and loaded it HOT! I punched it at the redlight and spun the rear tires. It has never done that before. I cant wait to get it out on the open road to see how it does hauling the jeeps.

Not to really Hijack but
How much do one of those chips cost?
Ferrell
a chip and programmer for a desial will run the $700 area if not more.

I have a TST box on my truck (already installed when I bought it) and the guy gave $900 for it. IT is pretty slick, reads out EGT's, Boost, and has a turbo timer built into it. Have to be careful though, put the settings up too high and it will fry my turbo.....would not be a good thing.

That is why I opted to not have a change on the fly system. I had my shop put a custom "locked" system on my truck. They program the system and then with the truck hooked up to a monitoring system they run the truck through a series of test runs and tweek the Edge system so that it is at optimum performance for my truck. They then lock the system and I cant change it. The process took about 3 1/2 hours.

Awesome truck, my dad has a 2500 like that and it pulls a wagoner around like nothing is on the trailer.
I'm sure you wont be disappointed with towing!
