I recently bought my jeep to use as a project vehicle for my son and I to work on together, and to use as a hunting/off road rig. She has 175,000 miles on her, but to no surprise, the engine is still going. I need to find a body shop to weld the hinge back on the drivers door.. and the floor pans have more daylight than metal but I'm looking forward to getting it started. will post pics later!

Is yous a 2-door? I just got rid of my 2-door '95. Loved that little buggy.

Its a 4 door, only downside so far is that its an automatic. Do you know of any off road shops in clarksville area that are reasonably priced?

tennessee offroad is the closest place i would trust and theyre in lebanon tn.

most of the places in clarksville prey on ignorants and army dudes with thier wallet open.

sadly.

No apology needed, I have been here since May and the majority of the stores outside the gate do target the "newly re-deployed". I am on a tight budget and primarily focused on getting it going. I'll worry about "pretty" later. Thanks for the tip!

Hey, slightly different topic. I know this isn't the classifieds, but I am in need of replacement parts and possibly a good mechanic who can rebuild an engine for a budget minded customer. if you have tips or suggestions, let me know.

if in clarksville. i took mine to Richmonds machine shop. i had a 4.0 rebuilt bottom to top 30 over and it was 1500 i think or less i dont remember. just got it buttoned up a year later. Give them a call though see what they say.

are you pulling it yourself? save some money that way if your mechanically inclined.
