Before, they were gonna wait on GM to see if they extend theirs but due to GM's success with it, they are going to do it now starting July 6th.

Good time to get a tow rig or...a JEEP!

So, how much discount does that amount to? Is it 1% below invoice? Even less?

No, I'm not going to trade... just curious.

1% is Supplier and Friends and Family. I **think** it's 3-4% below on the DC price according to some Dodge boards I read.

Having just went through this...

F&F is 1%.

Employee is 3% off of Invoice.

This, combined with rebates makes for a great deal... without the hassle of haggling. You're in and out of a dealership in a matter of hours. You don't even take half of their day/time.

Invoice and all that is B.S. and means nothing to the "Man on the street". Bottom line in terms most people will understand, my Client's are telling me that they are purchasing new Fords and Chevy's for approximately 30% off the STICKER. This figure is out the door. Example Client just purchased a Ford truck that had a $27,000 sticker, he walked out door tax, title and all for $17,700. He financed vehicle with Ford Motor Credit and received an additional $1,000 rebate (included in the $17,700 figure). If DC's offer isn't this good, they might not be as successful as Ford & Chevy has been with these offers.

Do I smell a Ford Fan? :D

30% off sticker? I want proof. That's way too far fetched for me to believe. :( I do know, however, Ford's giving away their stuff, however, their largest rebate is around $5000. I don't think anybody's gonna purchase a car for $10k off sticker... VERY hard to believe.

But, it is a Ford... hmm... j/k.

No Ford fan here. I have two Client's that have purchased a new vehicle within the past 10 days, and this is the information they are telling me. One purchased a Chevy truck, the other purchased a Ford. I have no idea exactly what makes up these discounts other than both financed part of the vehicle soley for the additional $1,000 rebate (both would normally pay cash). I am not in market for a new vehicle, but if you are in the market for a GM or Ford, now would be the time to talk $$ with a dealer of your choice.

I received the following from a dealer I've been talking to--

"Starting 7/6/05 I will be offering employee pricing to the public on 2005 Chrysler and Jeep vehicles. This is approximately 5% under dealer invoice. I won't know what if any rebates will be offered until Wednesday morning"

That is cool. I would assume they would keep the standard no strings $1000 rebate they always have. This is 4% better than my supplier discount. However, oddly enough I got a quote on a new Ram Hemi QC 4x4 and he quoted me below my discount price before I even told him I had it. Lots of fun to be had if in the haggling market! To be honest, I'm not ruling out a Rubi, only because if I keep it long term, I'll have the building blocks of a good setup. Might have to throw in a Waggy D44 in the front since the Rubi's have D30 outers...eheheheh

Well if anyone is in the market for any DC product, post your results here.

I priced a Chevy 2500 Diesel on their website. Normal price is just over $40,000. Employee price is $32K and change. I would love to have a new Chevy 2500HD or a Dodge 2500 Cummings. Bad thing about the Chevy is even the 4x4 has IFS and I hate that. So that almost rules the Chevy out right there. The Dodge has the straight axle though (bonus) but, I already have 2 car payments and the truck alone would end up more than the 2 I have now. And one of those is my Jeep, so that will not be going away. LOL. So I guess no new truck in my future. :(

I guess the only bad thing about all these discounts is that they apply to in stock vehicles only. Rubi's have 44's front and rear... whats the D30 outers about? Are you talking about the axle to hub u-joint?

$32K is 20% below sticker... and I assume this figure did not include any special rebates. It will be interesting to see what happens if the non American vahicle manufacturers get into the game.... not that they really need to do so. In my opinion, it just shows how much we have been getting raped... that is why I purchase a new vehicle every 16 years weather I need it or not

Yeah, I need to find the links. Usually it comes up on NAXJA when someone talks about finding a Rubi front 44 laying around and then finding out the stronger point is at the R-P. It's probably splitting hairs, but it's been discovered since they came out in 03. Personally, I haven't seen even a D30 blow, let alone at the u-joint, but I think some people on this board have or even experienced it.

Here's a discussion on Pirate...

I have no idea what recommended tire size is on those. **** brave people run 36+ on a D30 and I'm running 35. No probs as of yet.

I am seriously kicking around the idea of trading in my Maxima for a Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7L Hemi...

I was told employee pricing is 3% below invoice. Also $2000.00 cash back as well.

My only concerns are :this is a new model year and all the bugs aren't worked out yet and the Hemi is made in Mexico.

Your Jeep needs a friend!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do it. :D :)

The PT Cruiser is made in Mexico, and is one of the most reliable and well put together vehicles Chrysler's producing now. I wouldn't be afraid to buy.

Marlon, I wouldnt be afraid to buy it either for its reliability, i would be afraid of the looks I would get driving such a hideous thing.

My great aunt has a silver one, and she got a ''woody'' packeage after a year of owning it, so its got the 2 foot tall wood trim on the sides and back of it.

David: Translate this into English... what % of discount from sticker does the "Employee pricing", plus $2,000 equate? Ford and GM offer an additional $1,000 if you finance vehicle with them. Does DC offer this ?

MSRP=$39,995.00

EP=$35,349.00
-$2000.00 cash back

your low low price of $33,349.00

FYI Warranty is 3/36 b to b and 7/70 power train for 2005

For 2006 3/36 is the warranty no more 7/70 standard

I took a test drive today and while it was nice....

I'll probably stay with my car for now.

Methinks the dealership will call later within the week offering you another couple hundred to a thousand off. :D If they don't, then they just suck. :p
