Problems with photo gallery [Archive]

I'm trying to upload some pics and it asks me to login but then tells me - Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register.

When trying to go to my albums I also get the following message -
Sorry, Personal Albums are not enabled.

Another bug. Hang on until the gallery gets converted over to the new user database... I guess.

I assume that you know private message isn't working and all users will need to go into "options" (I think this is correct) to enable function to receive e-mail from other users.

Sorry, but I am still having the same problems with the gallery as Mike Ward was having. I have trouble logging in and get same message as Mike above. After finally getting logged in, I upload pics. Then, when trying to enter the title for each pic, when I click on "process pictures" it returns me to the same screen, onlynow the title fields are all blank again...it keeps doing this no matter how many times I try and process the pictures.

Gill, there is still problem with logging in. I was able to get in by trying and failing to log in to the old site. I clicked to remember me and when going to the galary after that it let me in.

By clicking on the login link in the gallary it never gave me the login page it just failed.

Everything appeared to be ok when I tried to post pics last night, but the pics would not show up in their destination album. I got no error messages or anything, but the pics just didn't show up.

I wasn't getting any thumbnails on that screen where you can give the pics a new title, but other than that, it seemed like everything was OK.

Ok... what you have to do is go to the gallery and click on register. This will take you to the old main page. Click on login and put in your username and password. Make sure you check "Remember Me on Each Visit". Click the login button and you will get a page stating that the board is currently closed.

Now click the back button to go back to the old main page and enter the gallary. You are now logged in. :)

Now you can use the gallary. I would assume that if you delete your cookies you will need to do this again.

Following those steps, I can get IE to work but FireFox is still a no go.

Praise Gawd! I think old Giller must have fixed the gallery. It now shows up as "Vbulletin" on the gallery home page, and I can load multiple pics now!

Ok I still need to work on it as its still pulling the accounts from the old database, any new person that registers cant access it .. I will work on that tomorrow.. dial up is too slow..

So what is the trick to upload photo's to a new Album?

It allows you to select a category ("Member Galleries") but will not let you select the album that you want to place it in inside the member gallery.

Not sure if I have problem or not, as I am waiting for photo to be approved by one of the Moderators.. or at least that is the message I received. Anyway, when I attempted to upload a photo into an album that already exist, I was asked to provide a path for the location for photo to be placed (album), but path only allowed me to get as far as "Member Galleries",, without allowing for me to direct to what (which) member's gallery, or even which album in my gallery that I desired photo to be placed. What am I doing wrong?

Okay, my photo was approved and it is in the gallery section _SOMEWHERE_, but I don't have a clue to as where. However, I noticed that we can go to "Member's Galleries", then into Greggy's Gallery and get to all the photos.

Here is the URL of a photo that I was trying to place in my Gallery, and in my album for "new lift" (or whatever the album's correct name is).

Sorta okay but would have rather had the ability to send it to a folder in my memeber gallery like the old one worked.

And it is the only image in my user gallery that shows up .. all other albums look like they are gone.

Well it looks like all my albums are listed (along with everyone elses) in the main listing of the photo gallery.

Guys, checkout the gallery section. Gill was able to change it back to the old setup and now things look NORMAL :cool:
