Just taking an informal poll of those who have gear and locker work done and where you had it done. Feel free to post prices if you want.

Gears - Local (here in Mayfield) racer/mechanic installed and set up for $300
Lockers - Installed myself with the help of my brother-in-law.

Had both done in my dads garage 10 or 12 times I would guess on a couple different vehicles. Been a part of a couple campsite swaps also.

A little far for you, but TN offroad. It's getting tougher to find places that will set up gears. I liked TN Offroad, because they all own and love Jeeps.

No gear work done.
I installed my front and rear Powertrax lockers.

Is your front a 30? How do you like the Powertrax? I hear good things about them for my Chry. 8.25

The front locker is the Lockright and I'm running a No-Slip in the rear. At this point the only thing I'd change would be to have ran the No-Slip up front instead of the Lockright. Main reason is b/c of the lockright's ratcheting noise while turning. The No-Slip is smoother and I've never heard it while on the road.
Outside of the noise of the lockright (which isn't that load), both lockers perform great offroad and couldn't be happier. Well ... selectable lockers would make me happier but couldn't afford them.
