Tomster is here. Vacating this week, but this crud in my lungs is going to make it a pretty lousy week. Going to doc today.

I'm planning on being there Saturday. I was contacted by a guy down in TN whom I have wheeled with before, and he wants to come up Saturday and will have a buddy or two with him in their rigs.

Albert, what day(s) you wheel-n? Are you going out on your own??? Why not hook up with us? Meet at Check in Station at 9:00 - 9:15 A.M. each day. Usual channels are in this order 4, 7, & 10. Ch. 4 is normal,, if gets busy, move to 7, then 10... at least I think this is correct #'s.

ALL Campers.... TB probably will not allow camping on a holiday weekend. I do NOT know this for a fact, but might be worth checking into before you get there. There probably will be space at Wranglers ?? Forget trying to get a motel room in Aurora... been there, done that... I got last room.
Knights Inn in Cadiz may have rooms. There is also a Super 7 or some thin like that in Cadiz. Sorry, I don't have phone #'s.

Drag link adjustment is a nothing job. Get wheels pointing straight, loosen drag link ((drag link located at wheel end of bar that runs from pitman arm to passenger wheel.. metal tube about 6 inches long with lock nuts at each end.) and turn one direction or another until steering wheel is correct. Then tighen drag link and you are done!

Me, Don Buckler, and Keith2606 are going to caravan down on Saturday morning and return on Sunday evening. We would be happy to hook up with you on I-65 somewhere....

I am not camping at TB, but going to another spot. I am waiting for a buddy of mine to let me know where we are going. I am taking the boat, and kids. I do need to get to TB to ride with you all. But I just don't know what day. I am staying all weekend, and get out of there around Monday sometime to burn meat, and watch fire-works.

I am sick and tired of this stinkin' steam bath weather we have around here. It ain't a lot of fun wheelin' with the top and doors on and the AC blasting. Engine wants to overheat after a while of idling while waiting on folks to get through obstacles, or if someone has problems.

I will be wheel-n both Saturday and Sunday. However, most people, including Jim are only wheel-n on Saturday unless I can talk them into wheel-n on Sunday as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tom, have you thought about removing hardtop, installing the Safari top, then zip tying a small fan that plugs into cig lighter (actually Accessory plug so it run all time) to roll bar and pointed on RA. If things get hot you can turn AC on and fan will help push AC back on RA. I have actually run my Jeep topless with AC going full blast. Just an idea.

Nope, I have not done anything about rigging up Ross Allen's custom AC vent, except that I did pick up a section of that dryer vent flexible hose. It has been too hot to even go out there and try to rig up something! Might do that tonight just before dark, when it is only 140°F outside.

I bought some styrofoam sheathing, cur it to size, and laid it in the cargo area floor. I also bought a scrap sheet of that stuff that is like real thin plywood. I'm going to cut it to size, if I can stand the heat. Ross Allen's claws would make quick work of the styrofoam. I had forgotten, but I had put some down back there for him before, but I didn't put anything over it. He had it chewed up big time in no time at all.

Yeah I run my AC with my windows out all the time. I can't stand AC in enclosed cars. Makes me sick. But if I run it with the windows open, I get the best of both worlds.

I haven't tried my A/C yet this year. With the doors off and only with a safari top, it wouldn't do much good. Though I did use the heater driving up to TB last Saturday! When you leave at 5:30 am and you're going 70 mph, that moist air gets kinda cold!

I'll lead one group, if you guys want me to, but we will need another trail guide for the other group. It would sure speed things up for tomorrow, if we could set the roster for each group this evening.

I could be tail gunner for your group, or just fall in with either group, but would prefer to keep the three of us together.

I am taking a Newbie to so that will be good. He will be in nice rig its a green Cj on 36's locked front and rear. I am going to just let him wheel some easy stuff at first get him feeling good. I will meet you outside the shack around 8 or 8:15 depending on what time I get out of town. Cell number is 270-293-4756 if you need to get a hold of me. But I got to be easy on jeep selling it or building it not sure but dont want to break this trip.

Pat you need to come it has been forever since I wheeled with you. I might not get to wheel for awhile after this because need to get jeep sold or need to build on it axles are ready almost. I would camp with you but I am scared of BIGFOOT.
