Folks,
The annual Turkey Bay Spring Cleanup day will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011. Meet at the gatehouse around 9:30 a.m. for a tailgate safety briefing. I hope the weather cooperates and we have a good turnout. Items of interest I have lined up for that day include:
1. Brushing back the kids trail. If anybody has a heavy-duty weedeater (a brush blade would be good) or knows someone who wouldn't mind loaning one out for the day, bring it along.
2. Replacing damaged/missing boundary markers.
3. Downed/Hazard tree removal on the trails. The Forest Service will provide the saywers.
4. General litter pickup in the camping areas.
5. I'm sure other tasks will surface between now and then that I'm not aware of yet.
As always, we'll have a little raffle about 3:30 when the work is complete.
