Could anyone tell me how to remove my doors on my jeep? It is a 2000 tj sport with full doors. I removed the nuts off the hinges and tried to lift them off. They feel stuck. What am i doing wrong?

you have to swing the doors back and forth for a bit while lifting. it's really annoying the first couple of times then it gets easier.

Moose:
Doors that have never been off can be a real problem. Use some PB Blaster, and work the doors back and forth. You might need to apply the PB Blaster every day for a few days.
It would be good to have someone to help you lift the doors as you swing them back and forth.
In extreme cases, you can use your bottle jack. Place a 2 x 4 under the bottom of the door and get your jack on something high enough that it will reach. If you have to use the jack method, by all means GO SLOW. You don't want to bend something.
You will need to pull the #4 fuse to keep your overhead light from staying on. It's the bottom fuse in the right hand column. The fuse box is behind the glove box.
Good luck.

Be careful when removing the doors too. If you get the bolt threads against your paint, you WILL have some scratches.

If you are tall enough(probably over 6 ft or stand on a crate); you can do it pretty easily by just rolling the window all the way down; and standing with your should inside the window-well and push up with your shoulder and using your inside hand to grab the inside doorhandle to lifp with as you rock it; and using your outside hand under the door.
It also makes it easier to store the door and carry it around; with it over your should holding its weight; instead of trying to man-handle it with just your arms.

I love half doors for this very reason. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Now if I could just find some free sliders... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
