I hate C-clips on shocks! I can't say THAT enough. 2 days after installing my lift, the stupid C-clips holding the shocks on the bar pins came out of their groove.
Oh well. Now I have a reason to get JKS's Bar Pin Eliminators! Installed them last night. Installation was straight forward, but why oh why did they use allen bolts to attach instead of hex heads? I couldn't find a grade 5 or 8 bolt I liked at Lowe's that would fit it, so I stuck with em. Those are a PITA to install around the gas tank skid. I got creative with a power drill and a screw driver to fit the head of the allen bolt and installed them most of the way that way and used the wrench for the rest.
Fortunately, the front shocks don't use the allen bolts. From what I hear, I should get a bit more travel as the shocks compress about 1/2" more than normal when using regular bar pins. I dunno if that will help any, but it should look nice when I flex it out! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Got em from Dirk at DPG Offroad, as I have with all my suspension stuff. These suckers are beefy and heavy for their size. My shocks are going nowhere now!
