Since you did ask what people think is a fair asking price, my TJ is built almost exactly the same as yours except with internal work done on the 2.5L and I am running 33s. 152K miles on the body/frame with an 8.8 rear and a few other mods and I am having trouble getting anything above 6K. I have a half cab setup with a back storage rack to but no rear seat. Also mine is a 98. The market just isn't there for the average mildly built jeep TJ right now. :( Good luck with your sale though.

You'd do better by parting out the nice parts and just selling a somewhat stock Jeep. OR....part it out, keep the frame and body and build you up a V8 w/ tons:) :D

Good luck Donnie, selling a jeep in this economy may be tuff. I've been wanting to get a 4dr ruby for a while now, but just hasn't worked out yet.

Unfornately, I think you are going to find that you will either have to "give" it away or just keep it. I have three off road vehicles and can't get what I consider a decent price out of them so they are in my garage or under tarped storage in my back yard.

I ended up "giving away" my well built 97 TJ last april for $6K(and I had to be very stubborn to get that). It wasnt nearly as nice looking as yours, but it had a V8, 6" LA, 36" IROKs, 5-point harnesses and much much more. Like the others said, the market just isnt there right now. I got tired of mine just sitting in the garage unused.

The big question is what do you want out of it? I have sold three jeeps over the years all built to different levels.

1.) 97' TJ with 2" budget boost and 32" tires (sold for ~$10K in 2003)
2.) 99' TJ with 4" short arm, 35" KM2s on beedlocks, D44's w/4.88 & ARB, armor out the wasu, bumpers, rubicon 4:1 t-case, etc.. (sold for ~ 16K)
3.)2007 JK 4-door on 1 ton dynatrac prorocks with 5.38 and ARB, 37" on WE beedlocks, tube fenders, sliders, etc.... (sold for ~40K)

Like all have said, finding the right person is sometimes difficult...you have a very custom vehicle that the general population will not find appealing. There is however a group of people like ourselves that love jeeps!!!

Now, all that said I am in the market for a TJ that I can stretch and throw 1-tons and V8 under...yours would make a good donar that I could drive for a year or so until I have the cash to do this build, so...what do you want for it as I may be able to take it off your hands.

Ouch!!!

Yeah, it kinda hurt, but I'd rather someone else enjoy it than see it sit.

I am thinking after much research that i would sell for $9500. We all know i have much more than that in it...but built jeeps are like a home with a swimming pool....ha. I have my eye on a nice Rubi but have to sell my baby first.

The wrap is done by a local SIGN company here in WH. They did the Blue wrap back in 07 and then i did the RED one last year. Both were about $1500 a piece. Absolutely LOVE those wraps....ONLY way to go.

It is what it is.... A 4 banger tj on 35s with stock axles...Not sure if the Ad is a wrap to but trying to sell it with that on there really only lowers the value even more.... If your pretty motivated to sell I'd take the first 5-6k offer you got.... I can honestly say there arent many people out there in the market for a 4 banger jeep.....ever.... :)

I agree with everyone else. I sold my 2001 TJ that was really built very nice and was a six. It took me a long time to sell it and didn't quite get 15K. A long time and really had to get creative - had it everywhere. It is hard to get that right person. And the economy kept me from getting what I though it was worth. It's the same with everything, I have a Mustang that I will never get what I have in it. I'll never learn.

BYW, the TJ was like new when it sold. Good Luck!
