T’was the day before Christmas,
And all through the Forum.
I thought I’d try post’n,
But I didn’t want to boor’m.
Ma is ahurry’n ,
And I with my remote.
Her thoughts are frantic,
I think I smell smoke!
When across the room,
I thought I heard beach’n.
But it was just Ma,
A trash’n the kitchen.
Away to the doorway,
I flew like a flash.
I trip on the couch,
Then tipped over the trash.
I arrive on the scene,
My head I poke in.
My thoughts are of turkey,
Her’s are of a wet hen.
Well that’s all I got,
You’ve nothing to fear.
Have a merry Christmas,
And a prosperous New Year!
