Ford 8.8 axle....

I have a lead on a Ford 8.8 axle, disc brakes, from a '98 Explorer. I was asking around for one, but bought one recently from a member here. However, this one came up. It's actually the whole vehicle, so one would have to pull it. I will find out more Monday. Just posting up in case anyone is interested or needs an upgrade from your paltry Dana 35 or 44......;)

It's at a scrap metal yard in Eddyville. Don't know a thing about it. When I get there Monday, I will post and give a number. First come first served perhaps?

Holy cow! Lake Barkley recycling in Eddyville has at least four 8.8 axles. Three are under vehicles. Saw one already pulled. They all look good and are not under wrecked vehicles. Act fast because they are crushing soon. Don't know anything about them but most are from 97 and 98 models. I told the owner he needed to go ahead and yank a few of them. Gonna spread the word. I was quoted $200. Off I-24 exit 45 Kentucky. 270-388-1962. Ask for Cindi. I have NO affiliation with them. Just passing the news along. I may go back tomorrow and get some cables for my project. C.
