Gil,
OHV Parks.
It could be setup so that threads describing each submitted OHV Park could be 'stickied' so they sort to the top; by State...and each one could contain location, price, website links, etc...
Then the lower unstickied area could be for general discussions about the parks.
This would allow us to build a growing section dedicated to OHV Parks and ride areas around the region that could be a good resource of places to go.
I would be glad to start things off and put several TN sites up....
What do you think?

What's wrong with just doing this in the existing Trail Rides forum? That's exactly what it's for... Also, the site isn't regional...

Marlon,
I was just looking for a way to have a quick reference area of OHV Parks...
The trail-rides section is great; but things get buried pretty easily and posts roll off, etc...since it covers planning, discussion, etc...
I know that alot of Jeep Forums carry trail-ride areas; but they aren't organized in a way that makes it very easy to find trails by region, state, etc...
Take for example TN and KY.
If someone new joins the forum and they live in Clarksville, they might want to find out info about OHV Parks within a few hours drive into either state.
Now, they will be overwhelmed by posts about Turkey Bay.
Depending on the time of year and what's going on; their might be a post about Coal/Creek OHV in TN too...
but, rarely is there much volume about Wheelin in the Country OHV(TN), Paddys Bluff(KY), Harlan OHV (KY), Monteagle,(TN) Royal Blue (TN), and about 8-10 more OHV Parks that I know of myself that exist within a few hours drive.
If we had a section solely dedicated to OHV Parks based on their location; it would be a 'quick resource' for folks trying to find OHV Parks near where they live that they aren't familiar with.
The 'Trail Rides' forum may have been started with that as the intent; or maybe not; but it really has become a planning and trip discussion section; moreso than a section cataloging and listing known OHV parks.
Shoot, it wouldn't takeup alot of space to list all the OHV Parks by state...we don't have anything like that now...which might promote folks venturing out more; and trying out new trails too (not to knock TB, but it aint the only cat in the bag)
Does anyone else think a specific section with listings of OHV Parks and info by state would be useful or is it just me?

Dave:
I like your idea! Why not break it down state by state, with a separate thread for each state, like you suggest.
We would need to keep the threads uncluttered with replies. We could lock each thread after the initial post. Discussions regarding individual OHV areas could be a separate thread, also as you suggested.
That's my opinion, for what its worth.

I like the idea and agree with Tom on listing it by state. Place a limited amount of info about each in the post: name, price, hours of operation and location then link to their website for details.

Dave, the link you gave for Coal Creek is not a good link. And besides that it is not even the OHV's website. Here is the website for Coal Creek OHV: www.coalcreekohv.com (http://www.coalcreekohv.com)
Sorry Dave I just looked over the Coal Creek one and you had it good. I just didn't pay attention to the links to some of the titles. Sorry buddy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Gil,
We need to add 'Arkansas' so we can put a listing up for Superlift HotSprings OHV Park.
