It was four years ago today, August 31, 2006, that we lost our friend, Gill Blue, the founder of Itsajeep.org.
We miss you, Old Giller. We will never forget you or the things you did for all of us.

I wonder what he would think of IAJ.org if he could see it today

Tom,
I've been thinking about him a lot lately too. So much has changed: it's grown, topic varieties have wandered all over the place, and it's had growing pains. I think he'd be pleased to see the diversity of opinion and thought we have here, which you get with any larger number of people in one spot.
But mostly, I think he'd be thrilled with how many people have made good, lasting friendships through this site and how many people have been exposed to offroading and Jeeps through the fellowship on this site.

Yeah, Giller would love to see how the site has grown in the last four years. He did get to see the site really take off before he left us, though, and I am thankful for that. He was so sick for the last few months that he couldn't participate on the message board.
I remember those earliest days when we had only about 15 or 20 members. Gill would grieve because it didn't seem like the site was going to get much use. He put his heart into Itsajeep, and all he wanted was to see people enjoy it.

To echo markr, though I never had the privileged to meet him, I'm glad Gill stuck with his passion to get this site up and going. Since finding this site, I frequent here more than any other cause of the closeness proximity wise of the members, but more importantly the closeness of the people themselves. Thank you to all the pioneers that kept this site going.

Excellent job of saying this Paul. I met some of my best friends, and lots of wonderful people though this site.... I never had the honor of meeting Gill in person. Yet, I really regret not being able to be at his service. Even though its 500 plus mile drive, I seriously considered ttrying to make the drive.
