Rain and the electrical system

I have been caught once in a pretty bad storm without a top at hand and as ok as I was with getting soaked, I was a bit worried about my Jeep. I am used to the cj5 I grew up with. I could lose that thing in a flood and have no worries about it working the next day. Also, the stock wedge speakers, are those boxes waterproof? They aren't covered when I have the bikini top on so they are always getting wet. I haven't had a problem with them as of yet, have any of you?

As long as you don't have the carpet in you should be Ok unless the storm is windy and blows rain into you stereo and such. Oh yea, make sure your plugs are out of the floor board so the water can drain out.
As for the carpet; it is indoor/outdoor carpet but it can still get stinky when it dries. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Mine gets wet a lot these days and no problems with the speakers yet.
