Memorial Day is set aside as a day to remember all of our soldiers who have given their lives in the defense of our country. I hope we all keep these men and women who made the supreme sacrifice on our minds today, as we go about our individual lives.

I hope that each of those many thousands of fallen heroes was told by someone before it was too late that their service to our country was appreciated. I hope that they died knowing that their countrymen loved them, honored them, and respected them for putting their lives on the line.

Well, for those who have given all, it is too late to tell them now that we appreciate them. But, we have many thousands of men and women in uniform right now who need to know how much we appreciate them.

To all of you who serve our country, THANK YOU! God bless each and every one of you. For all who deploy and face great danger, I pray that you will each come home safe and sound. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

All In!

I agree 100%.

Last year I was in DC; walking the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery is a sobering experience.

You've got that right. I was there years ago on a high school trip. Stand there, looking all around you, all you can see are the graves of fallen heroes that gave their lives to afford me the freedoms that I enjoy. The rows of graves seem to stretch on forever. Very sobering indeed!
