Sweet, money bags. Good choices. I also got 4:56's and a truetrac for the d30. Waiting on install. Did you buy the 8.8 built for a Zj or get one from an Explorer?

i bought both axles off someone who was upgrading. i guess the 8.8 was out of an explorer he had the brackets and everything fabricated for a zj.

I don't _think_ there is much to change on the swap from an Explorer to a ZJ as both are leaf spring vehicles. The TJ is a coil spring setup, so there is a fair amount of work to change one over. At least this is what I think... However, I really won't know what is involved until I get to that point in my Jeep build.

Those 4:56's should be sweet on and off road. What size tires you got?

don explorer's are leaf and zj's are coil. i think your think'n of xj's with leaf's. right now i've got 32's. plan'n on 35's or 36's sometime in the fall.

i can't wait to get these things in and start wheel'n.

well got the 8.8 in. took a little longer than expected after the guy at advanced gave us the wrong kind of fittings for brake lines and we had already put everything on until we realized they were for air lines, but we got it all straitened out. start'n early today for the 30 swap, shouldnt take as long, no brake lines to fool with for the most part.
