I'm thinking about getting this jeep. If things work out she will be mine.

I do have a question about its streering upgrade not sure which one it is. It does look beefy. So which one do you think it is?

Whats the dana 44 under it? If it is a non unit bearing 44 It is prolly just a hi steer arm on the pass side. If it is a rubi 44 then it may just have a hi steer bracket on the pass side built off the knuckle. Jb 4x4 makes one.

Specs, more pics?

Its a rubi and I don't have any more pics unfortunately. Jeep is still at the car lot and that is in GA.

Then it would most likely be a JB 4x4 (or other brand) raised bracket off the knuckle. Lots of guys have lots of success with this setup. Granted I have never run it, so I can't comment on how it would perform.

Now that I look harder at it, it may even have a hydraulic assist setup on it. Or that may be a stabilizer without a boot. I can't tell from the pics.

thats a stock stablizer. Looks like a nice jeep. You looking for a DD jeep or a trail rig to replace the big green one?

Looking for one to drive around town to the local one day wheeling spots. I still have the "Hulk" and thinking about selling it. I miss driving my old jeep on the streets.

The one your looking at is similar to your old one in build isn't it? Looks nice enough and should wheel very good I guess it all goes to price and what you want

It is similar looks like RE long arm kit. It is the unlimited and that is what I have been looking for, just wanted it in yellow. And if we can agree on a price then it will come home with me or I will go get it.

Man! That's a hot rig! How much are they asking? Is there a back seat?

looks like something someone built and ran out of money or got out of wheeling. That appears to be well built and has alot of the right parts. good looking rig

It only has 19k so not alot of wheeling and like you said it really doesn't need much to go hit the trails as it sits. Hopefully it will work out.

Thanks all I will get it tuesday and go over everthing and get some pics and idieas of what needs to be done. Has most that know me I will pretty hard so I'm sure I will have some upgrading and buying of extra parts will be in the plans. Though I do not plan on wheeling this as hard has my last rubi, as long has I have the hulk.

The first two. The last one doesn't show much but I can see the front end and get an idea of height.

On the photo bucket account I can remember my log in so I said screw it. If someone needs pics of the Hulk I'll get some. I may post some up tomorrow with the little jeep.

Ok I got the jeep. It does have some issues though. The front axle is making some noise. I got under there and looked front yoke and drive shaft very looose. It also was leaking some fluid. I was able to put the front locker on and it seemed to work. I'll have to get that checked out. It is also very unstable on the road. No front or rear sway bars so I'll need to at least had the rear. It also has hydro assist steering. Will hydro work on the steets?

Whitnel

Glad you got a jeep that runs. I would think the hydro assist would not hurt anything. I wonder if it might get hot from alot of use? I don't know anything about those set ups.

The hydro assist should be fine if installed properly. Depending on what steer gear was used it could be same as stock or a little more sensative. PSC has kits for more streetable applications and some for more offroad. Good thing is that it looks like a full PSC kit was used, can see the upgraded pump, reservoir, ram, gear and inline cooler in the pictures. Those kits are usually pretty reliable.

Nice Buy btw, thats a super sharp LJ

Ok found out some more stuff on it and it does have the PSC kit not sure which one because the have two kits trail and steet and a extreme duty. Did get a part number to figure it out. I guess I will do that later.

I did take it to the shop and the front pinion bearings are shot and probably the pinion. Lets hope not the ring and gears and locker.

Getting a antirock of some sorts. Tell me what you guys run other than factory sway bar. What do you like or dislike?

Paul E

Currie antirock is probably the best option you've got.
