Water proofing seats

I was wondering if the spray that is made to water proof tents would work for my seats??

Sounds like a good idea; the only question I would have though; about the stock cloth Jeep seats; is the coarseness or fineness of the material.

A tent is alot finer between the thread widths with much narrow gaps than the stock seats. You might not be able to spray it on thick enough to fill the gaps in the material to make it waterproof; without coating it so thickly that it becomes plastic coated.

i've done it before. the only bad thing is if you do not put enough on the first time, when it gets wet one time you have to do it again after it dries. the next time it gets wet it won't work if you don't redo it.
