Hard top question

I have an 04 TJ, and was looking into getting a hard top for it. I have seen many older tops being sold and wanded to know what if any differences there are in the previous years. I know that the newer tops no longer have the vents behind the side windows. What will I have to go through to get a 97-03 top on my jeep????

There will be too much for it to worth trying to convert the 97-03 to fit yours, because the angles of the top around the door itself is at a slightly different angle and would cost to much to convert it.

I think it might have begun with the 03 models, but there is now plastic on the windshield header. There used to be only metal. I think there might be something different about the tops to accommodate the plastic liner.

I'm not sure if there would be anything else to worry about. Would the vents in your tail gate plus the vents in the hardtop be "too much" ventilation?

Thanks, I didn't think that there were that many revisions in those years. Guess I'll start thinking about a new top.
