help!
i am trying to find wheels for my jeep but cant seem to find them. I want 15x8 with 3.5 inchs of backspacing. But this is the closest thing i can find. Is 3.5 inchs of backspaceing non existant? http://www.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/sgsh0101.exe

bill, do you like your 15x10 black rock crawler? I heard that with the wider rim when you air down you can run into truble with the tire sliding on the rim vs 15x8. Have you had any problems? and whats the company's name and anout of backspacing you have. your help is much appreciated.

If you plan on running em hard, get some AR-857's (or whatever tom runs) or some Cragar Soft 8's. they have like a lot of different sizes of backspacing. And definitely get 15x8's, that way you wont run into as much trouble offroad. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tu.gif

I like the 10" wide for the fact that I don't have to run such low pressure ON road. But I only air down to about 15 psi on the trail so I have not had any trouble with popping a bead loose. I would like to drop to 8-10 pounds but I know it would pop loose with a 12.50 tire sooner or later. Now if I had 14.50's then I would not worry. I would go with the 15x8's buy any maker. I think you can get them via Summit, 15x8 with 4" BS, for about $39.95(I think Summit has free shipping too) a wheel. These are Crager brand. My backspacing is 3.75" on the 15x10's and they are made by Pacer. Do not pay for center caps. All they do is rust on you no matter what you do. So save the dough. Anything else I can do just let me know.

Tom has the AR767's. If you can't find sufficient backspacing, a wheel spacer may do the job. I would think 4" BS would work fine. What you doing to require 3.5"?
I would just use stock wheels with the right spacers.

I wouldnt. You really need the extra inch(15x8 instead of 15x7) becuase it not only is safer, it looks better too.

I would be using the extra backspacing to give the jeep a wider stance because my jeep has a tendency to roll and a wider stance would help with stiblity. I went to my local tire store and looked at wheels there and the guy running the place said that cheap steal rims are not strong anough to handle backspaceing less than 4 inchs. So i guess i have to start to look at alloy wheel to get the 3.25 or 3.5 inch backspacing i want.

I have 15x10 steel wheels and they only have 3.75" backspacing. I have yet to hurt a wheel except to scrape the lip on rocks.

I have 15x8's with 3.75" of backspacing. They are the "cheap steel" wheel that your tire shop guy said wouldn't work. I haven't had any problems whatsoever.

I'm running some Pacer wheels, they're 15x8 w/ 3.75" BS. Cost me $89 each.
Check out Pacer's website. www.pacerwheels.com (http://www.pacerwheels.com)

ok i ordered some black rock crawlers via 4 wheel parts. They are 15x8 with 3.75 back spacing. I plan in getting some sprider trax wheel spacers(1.25 inches) to finish off my wide stance. How fast will 2.50 back spacing kill my bearings? I know it might be over kill to have such a wide stance but i cant afford another rollover. Plus it just straight up looks cool to have wide tires stick out on a lifted jeep. (though cops might not like it)

I am not real sure you are going to need those spacers. Try the wheels first without the spacers and see what you think then add them later or send em back.
I agree that is ALOT of backspace! I would go with just the wheels.
