View Full Version : Dana 30 carrier for 4.10 gears

Tried searching for this and found nothing. I am now in need of a carrier for a Dana 30. I am going to upgrade to 4.10's so I need a carrier for a 3.73 and up gearset. Cheap is great and free is better, LOL. If anyone has a lead on one I would almost be willing to kiss you in public. Thanks a lot peeps.

found one on Ebay......they're pretty cheap for a used one

Wonder if there is a big deal with using one that is used. Probably not. What would be the best locker to use in the D30 in everyones opinion????? Is there a streetable locker that I could use that replaces the carrier? BTW this is NOT a daily driver. I do drive it to and from the trails for now but should not be a big deal either way. Just lookin for opinions.

If its not a DD, your cheapest route is a lunch box locker either Lockright or Aussie, I'm not familar with the detroit version. These have a little attitude. If you want one to replace the carrier and don't mind spending some money then get an ARB or T Locker. You are going to love 4.11s. I just upgraded my rear axle, still need a free weekend to complete the front, but so far I'm kicking myself for not doing it quicker.

I have run the Detroit version (EZ Locker) in mine for a couple years. It has worked great. I would choose a "lunchbox" locker becuase of the cost and strenght. I see that you are from TN. so it won't be too long before you are runnin Dana 60's under that thing anyways right. Why not take the 300+ you are goona save over a ARB or such and spend it an another mod. Again that is just my opinion

I have some used 4.10's for a TJ Dana 30 and a Dana 44.

Now is there any chance anyone has a carrier for a Dana 30 that fits a 3.73 and up gear ratio? Or maybe even a locker they want to sale?
