well, my birthday started out great, ended with an ambulance ride to the hospital.

we were on our way just east of nashville, came over a rise, saw traffic was stopped, did a panic stop, got stopped just shy of a lady in a silverado. dodge ram came bowling over the hill behind us and slammed into our assend. both my other half and i are ok, but its pretty much guaranteed my truck is totalled.

yea. it wasnt exactly the birthday present i had hoped for.

went and found a replacement yesterday. so now all we are doing is waiting on word from the insurance company. once they say whether or not it's totalled is when we can go pick up the new addition to the family.

Glad to hear you and your other half are good. I'm always scared of that when coming into those backups, even when I'm driving my tractor-trailer. You never know the state of mind of the people around you. Earlier in the year a semi failed to stop at a back-up in Southern Illinois. Needless to say the driver didn't make it. It closed both North and South bound lanes for hours. Anyway, I hope everything turns out good for you two, in the end.
