(NO PICS YET)
installed Rustys Offroad oil pan skid along with EMF radiator skid

The products are stout and look good installed but to say they went on without a problem is an understatement

The radiator skid is a simple install just need to drill 1 hole for a metal screw to go into the frame...

the Rusty's Skid however did not go on as easily
Now i dont know if this is due to the fact I added a Transfer Case Skid Plate lowering kit when i did the 4" install i dunno

the 2 factory holes on the transfercase skid we had to drill out bigger since the holes were off-centered about 1/2 inch

marking the holes on the front bracket was a lil difficult since it is mounted under the oil pan and that is where your holes are that u have to mark to drill

after everything was on and bolted on i noticed the pre-cut hole in Rustys Skid does not line up with my oil pan drain plug
I am going to have to get it cut out and it needs to be moved 3" to the driverside to allow for access to the oil-pan plug... Again i dont know if this is due to lifting the vehicle and putting on the lowering kit on the transfer case

All in all...I am happy with the products and we will see in a few weeks how they hold up in TB :D

if you are wheeling i would recommend these 2 products as a nice addition to your rig espically for the added piece of mind you can have while on the trails

I think several have and had issues.

I have the Rusty's engine/tranny skid...... beat the crap out of it... Like you, my hole does not align with the drain plug. However, I bought mine as a scratch n Dent for $100.00 so I just figured the hole was part of why I got it so cheap.
I also have TC drop. So far the mis-aligned hole hasn't been a factor as the Rusty's skid comes off with 4 small bolts..... (leave the bracket in place, just remove the flat part of skid). I keep saying that I am going to cut new hole and weld the old one closed, but it hasn't been an issue so I have been lazy. Now keep in mind, I usually don't dd my Jeep so it only get 5,000 - 7,000 miles a year and I seem to be pulling the skid on a regular basis so I just change oil while the skid is off.

I think Peepspurple Jeep will tell you how freak accidents on the trail can destroy your oil pan before you can blink. If you have an automatic tranny, this skid is a must have imo.

ok atleast i am not the only one... yeah the skid looks stout and if it saves me a hole in the pan while 8 hours from home then i will deal with the misaligned hole when that 3000 miles comes up

If you lived closer to me, I'd offer to weld in a patch for you.
