Idle

Here latley when I start my jeep it idles realy high when it starts 1500 rpm then was it warms up it drops to the normal 500 rpm then every then out of nowhere it jumps up to 1200 to 1500 rpm does anybody have a reason for this??????:eek:

It may be your throttle position sensor going out I had a simmulor issue on a truck I had take it to autozone or advanced auto have them read the codes its free

yeah i work at Advance and the code checks are free....actually sounds like a idle air control but the throttle position sensor is possible especially if you are having part throttle issues

my idle is high 1500 sometimes, i have to fether the gas pedal, like a choke is on, and it idles down?
