My battery is the 2002 TJ stock battery and isnt holding up while winching . What is the battery to get? I dont want double up so what is the best single?

I got the NAPA Excite Gell Battery..... it was far from cheap, but it has never so much as burped after some serious abuse.

I'm no electrician but I would think 2 cheap deep cells would be better then 1 good battery (there goes the worms)....

Go with a deep cycle battery that is gel. I would go with something other than Optima though. They are not the quality that they used to be.

As far as "serious abuse" on Don's battery.......Well, let's just say I have seen Don wheel. Serious abuse are not the words I would use. ;)

x2 on the Optima batteries.

serious abuse was winching 7 or 8 vehicles in a row up a long hill, not that my wheel-n style is hardcore because it isn't :)

I'd buy 1 good battery and upgrade the wiring and alternator
