Bad rollover. Bouncy TJ, not enough air pressure and ground speed. Hindsight I know. Nobody hurt badly. Good case for a cage.

And they had a dog unrestrained in the Jeep... A good reason for netting to be sure, but also to ensure everybody/everything is secured when wheeling. You never know when it can happen. That hill didn't look all that bad.
As you watch the vid, you can see the dog's body when the Jeep is going over on the inside of the soft top.
On second watch, the overall hill looks pretty steep, but that portion didn't look so bad... hard to always tell on video just how angled something is.

Reading Comments from Irene was cool. Good to hear that the people they were with went out of their way to take care of them and their dog. Thats what its all about!

That happened quick. I have watched the video several times to try and see what he may have done wrong (so hopefully I can avoid it). Looks like he cut the wheel the wrong way when he was backing up. Can any of the more experienced wheelers give me their opinion. This is something I definitely do not want to learn by experience.
All I know is, that is some scary stuff. Glad to hear everyone came out ok.

That could have ended bad.
I'll watch it a few more before I arm chair it. It did happen fast not sure what he could have done to save it except not back up and turn up hill.
When he knew it was going he might have gassed to try and settle it in though it was already going backwards. Real hard to 2nd guess stuff like that.

The tire air pressure was too low.
I think he had the front locker engaged, I would not do that on that hill - locker drift.
Should have drove with a litttle more speed.
Should have stayed right there, got on the radio and asked for help.
Hind sight.

I see the problem...they were trying to follow XJ's...
U can tell its a pretty steep climb in listening to the engines labor and honestly Id a hit it doin 30 and never let out!!!! lol If he would of hit the brakes and push the clutch in he might have been alright. Its amazing how fast it happens...I know!!!

Reading the comments it was said to be an auto.
Wonder if he just got comfortable and didn't respect the hill? Seems like thats when you get bit.

can't tell but they were probably synthetic lines which have no recoil when they break. they just fall to the ground. still not safe to be real close, but if they were sythetic lines, they are no where near as dangerous as traditional cables.

Hey Andrew you need to watch this video repeatedly and put a cage in that TJ or well be posting other pics of you! The right foot can lead to this or worse!

They may be rope but I know not very many people run them & I was just noticing them using gloves. I do hope they are rope, I can't stand to see people stand that close to a winch line. Ropes do break (ask Wes) but not as often & as you said they aren't near as dangerous as cable.
