Any of you TJ guys/gals know where I can pick up a set of latches for the TJ soft doors?
Can you get them from a Bestop dealer?
Mike, I am not sure that I understand what you are asking /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Are you wanting the latch part from the door, or from the door jam? Both? TJ's have either full metal doors, or half doors with hard lower half, soft upper half. Both types of doors use lockable latches like a car door would use. However, the CJ's (older Wrangler style Jeep) had full soft doors with a latch that was non lockable.

Latch part from the soft door.
Bestop calls the part - Rotary Paddle Handle
I called 4wheelparts (since they are a bestop dealer) and they didn't have a partnumber for it listed in their computer. Next step will be to call Bestop and see what they say.

Okay, you are looking for the handle from a CJ door, not a TJ. I have seen these.... question, is where /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Quadratec sells "Replacement paddle handles" (part #55014.35) and "Door Strike Pins & Plates" (part #55011.97)However, both REQUIRE full metal doors even though one of the plates says it will fit early model CJ's. Do you think you could salvage them from an old CJ door that you purchase off Ebay?

Did you try a local salvage yard? They look like my YJ door paddles.

BINGO....... these are exactly like the photo in Quadratec.
I didn't look at price though.. this is the "paddle latch".
This is nothing like the CJ latch that I thought you wanted.

After a closer look they are similar but not the same. Are you attempting to make a trail door like the picture? I think they would work.

CJ softdoor latches are completely different that TJ/YJs.
They are not paddles; and they are stick-grips that rotate up and down 90 degrees; and attach and unattach the door from the soft-top frame pole. They aren't what you want; they don't really latch...not alot more sophisticated than a rectangular piece of wood with a nail through the middle; holding the door closed.
You can see what a CJ softdoor 'stick'-latch looks like on my old CJ7 Picture here:

On the inside, there is just a plastic stob on the other end of the handle that sticks out about 3/4 inch and catches against the steel soft-top frame that runs vertical along the door opening.
