Okay all. I just finished reading an article on Off-road.com that covered their review of Flowmasters Delta-Flow series mufflers. The writer said that after the Delta-Flow as installed he could barely hear it. He said he drove it around town and at different speeds and it didn't cause sound vibrations in the jeep's tub, nor made him deaf.

Anyone had any experience with the Delta-Flow mufflers? I would like to have the small performance gain that a Flowmaster could give (not to mention the throatier sound) but I don't need to lose anymore of my hearing.

I had a Flowmaster on my YJ and at speeds above 40mph you couldn't hear yourself think.

I run a soft-top jeep too....so lets keep that in mind.

Thanks.

ahh i must be the complete oposite from you hipee, i like it when the muffler or lack there of is so loud you can't think. But if you go for the "quieter" route i have hear good reviews on the flowmaster delta flow series ,, very high quality.

HA! You guys should of heard my '95 YJ w/ the 4 banger and a 2 chamber Flowmaster. It sounded like a pissed off sick duck around the top of each gear. And on the freeway, man. Talk about a loud drone....when I would get to my destination I would have to sit in a quiet room someplace and let my hearing come back.

Seriously though, I had a hearing test about a year after the Flowmaster and I lost about 6% of higher pitched hearing in my right ear. I am really enjoying the stock exhaust on my '03 TJ....and REALLY enjoying the quiet ride of my '01 WJ.
