Any of you guys that wheel alot familiar with the Aussie Lockers. The price has really got my attention $229.00. I'm getting a locked rear axle with a "No slip" and lower gears, so I'm going to have to regear the front. The Aussie Locker would work real well on my budget.
The Aussir is almost Identical to the EZ Locker or the Lock Right. In fact the guy that designed the Lock Right is the same one who started and designed the Aussie. HE claims it to be stronger ans quieter than the Lock Right. I think it would be fine for front use.

Yes that is true that it is supposedly quieter. I have been talkin about getting this locker for a while. And for, the price, it is hard to beat.

Thanks guys, I've pretty much decided that I'll be the "test subject" with these. They have 2 year warranty with no restrictions on tire size and gearing.
just not I don't think they reccommend installation on a "full time" non-disconnecting front axle, which most jeeps are. I would check about he warrenty on the D30 NON-Disco first!

Hey could someone translate Fred's post for me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif Just messing with you Fred.
I'm not sure I follow you. My Jeep is way out of warranty. I do drive it daily, but the Aussie Locker brags about how quiet it is for a DD (daily driver).
Im running an aussie in the rear of my XJ. It's quiet. the only time I hear it is durring a u-turn at idle speed. Off road it works awesome. Best bang for your buck. I'll be putting one in my dana44 front im building too.

Fred, what they mean is for a Full-time 4wd or AWD, and our jeeps dont fall under those categories.

Just a follow up. I had one of these installed when I regeared and it's awesome. Quieter than a lockright and ezlocker and every bit as effective. I highly recommend them.
