Okay stupid question. What are the side effects of running my front driveshaft with the spline end by the T-case. I know it would cause problems on the road but my Jeep does not see the road anymore. I want to do this because my new shaft is bigger in diameter and it could possibly hit my skid at full flex. I have also broke a shaft at the splines because of a stump in the way, which I think wouldn't have happened if it was switched. Any thoughts?????
Hmmmm, thats a good one. I think you're going to be messing with the angle of the dangle if you have a double jointed driveshaft. As far as the flex is concerned, get the rig up on stands to the frame , and see whats what. I dont know how you cleared the diffs and wacked the shaft with that stump, but as we all know, **** happens. Backwards you might seriously dent it, causing vibes and shakes, which in theory might cause problems with the bearing in the t-case, or diff.Maybe a piece of plexi in the floor is in order to see whats going on down there. (kidding)Btw, your location is lost. What state is that?Take care, have fun

If all I am doing is flipping it how is the angle going to change? All I want to do is get the smaller end with the splines up and out of the way. It would be completly covered by the skid plate if I were to do it like this. I was climbing a hill that had dead trees cut out so you could make the turn at the top. Well the stumps were left in place. I hit the throttle the front tires came off the ground and gravity then did it's thing. I came down and bam there goes the shaft. I am in Minnesota by the way.
Scrambled, I'm confused! On the rear shaft, from the T-case, the spline should be closest to there, (above the bellie pan)with the single yoke facing the diff. If you had it the other way(spline closer to diff)Thats backwards, and couldnt be covered by any skid that I know of
OOOPs!!! for some reason I had rear driveshaft on the brain. Sorry!! On the front, it shouldnt do much at all, maybe some vibes. Lots of luck
