You got wheels and tires in jamaica? Or the wheel & tire fairy visited while you were gone?
Josh, Congratulations again. Good news on the wheels and tires!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tu.gif I am also glad to hear that a man can actually survive a week without his Jeep. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I heard that it had been done before, I just never personally knew anyone who had survived /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hee.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hee.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hee.gif
it was hard being away from it but i managed, they kept feeding you drinks at the resort so i forgot about a lot of things
got them right before i left, got pictures posted now
awesome! going up to 33's will open a lot of doors for you off road /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif what type/brand or tire did you go with?
This will make life easy for everyone to see your new wheels and tires.

Looks real good man. Now u can rip off those side steps, or let the trails rip them off for u /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Hey Josh: What gears are you running? I am running 3:07 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/td.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/td.gif with 33 x 12:50's..... it is not as bad of a combination as I expected, but it's not great either.
all the gears are stock, the tires are winston winner m/t

When you say "Stock" are we talking 3:07s, or do you know for sure? Have you ever requested a "Build Sheet" on your TJ? The Build sheets list a lot of neat information that may be a PITA to determine otherwise. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/brows.gif I can lookup the URL to the web page for you, if you desire, or Marlon may know off the top of his head /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, Don, I think he has 3.73's because he has the Sahara Edition and I wouldn't be suprised if he had the Dana 44 axle in the rear.
Patrick, ed-u-ma-kate me.. I didn't realize that the Sahara edition was anymore than a trim package. What mechanical changes were standard equipment over the "Sport" model?

Josh, you can go to this Web site and request a "Build Sheet".... it will be e-mailed to you in a couple days.
This link will take you directly to the request form, if I have done this correctly
Click here for Build Sheet (http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universal/J/index.jsp?appStr=wccs&titleStr=Contact+Jeep&familyStr=brand&franchise=J&actionURL=%2Fwccs%2Fbrand_forms%2Fus%2Fwebform.jsp &promotion=null&category=R)

Well I know that a 215/75/15 should be right around 27" so the 225 would be around 28" Looking at your signature is almost like looking at my list of goodies. very similar
if we had the same tires we would almost have all the same stuff

my sahara came with goodyear wrangler at/s 30x9.50s new. several others on jeepsunlimited came with the same, some came with metric, not sure why. as for the gears, my sahara had d35 and 3.07s stock. sahara was supposed to be just a trim package but i have found out from dc that one requirement for the sahara pkg was the 4.0. im sure that people have SEEN 4cyls. in saharas but they were supposed to all be the 6s.
jp taylor
Hmmmmmmm, I have never seen a _REAL_ Sport with anything other than a 4.0L,. The Sahara package was suppose to include everything from the Sport package, plus some. Are you sure that there were TJ Sahara's, or Sahara's period that came from FACTORY with a 2.5L,... I swear, I learn something new everyday on this list.

I can't say I have seen a Sahara with the 2.5L. I have seen em with the D35 and the 3.07's plenty of times. I know that the D44 and the 3.73 limited slips were both options on any 4.0

My Sahara had 3.07's and 30" GSA as factory and a D35 in the rear.
Sahara's in the TJ years 97+ came with 4.0L's and had options for D44's with Tracloc diff.,ABS. Sahara's also came with air, upgraded sound system, side steps, painted wider fender flairs, rocker moldings, center console's,Leather steering wheel and carpeting. Also they came with a bit more deluxe seats that have rear compartments. Both my driver and passenger seat fold to allow passengers in.

So do mine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
David, I think that the Sports had all the same equipment as a Sahara EXCEPT FOR the deluxe cloth on the seats and fender flares painted to match body color. The 30 inch tires, the D44, ABS, etc. were optional equipment on a Sport. Sports came standard with the 4.0L, carpet, sidestep, sound bar, console, tilt, leather steering wheel, etc.,. I have run across FAKE Sports on Ebay.. people advertise an SE model as a Sport. One guy even had the "SPORT" logos stuck on the side of an SE... Carfax subscription is a must when shopping Ebay. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
