Well I have been posting on this site for a little while but I have not introduced myself. My name Is Rod and I live outside of Minneapolis,MN. I have been up here for about a year or so and before that I was in Kentucky. I wheel my 83' Scrambler as much as possible. I also have a 98' ZJ that gets light trail duty when the CJ is in the garage. We have 5 or 6 Jeeps in the family so I was brought up into the sport. I hope to get down to Kentucky soon and visit Turkey Bay again. I am sure that there is quite a few new trails.

Guys, it was Rod's Dad, Bob, that installed my Detroit Locker for me.

Bob is a topnotch mechanic and did a perfect install on that locker. The backlash is within factory specs for a diff that doesn't even have a locker. The instructions with the locker said up to a quarter turn of the driveshaft is normal for slop, but I'll bet mine doesn't have more than a third of that.

Rod, be sure and bring yer Old Pop when ya come down.

Thanks for the welcome guys,

Yeah Joanie I have been up to Gilbert a couple times. I love that place. There are some pretty narly trails up there. I have not joined a club yet but there are quite a few to choose from.

Tom I have no choice but to bring my old man when I come. I mean a race team never travels without their mechanic do they /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif. I know we are planning to get down there as soon as it gets warm. I am trying to get him to put my axles and TSLs under his CJ but he is skeered to scratch that thing. I am thinking about going all 1 ton drivetrain on the ol' Scrambler( /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/woot.gif) but hate to get rid of something that isn't broke yet.
