Thanks guys... pretty low key day today. Stayed home with the kids, had sushi for lunch, then went around local motorcycle places here in town only to find them all closed. :(
Going to see Dark Knight in a bit with the family, then get some dinner. Saw the Braves get their butts handed to em on Saturday night, then did some sightseeing around ATL Sunday before coming home.

Don't worry Paul...it is pretty standard for bike shops to be closed on Monday. They will be more than happy to take your money tomorrow.

You gonna get a bike???
Perhaps... but it would be Dan's. Not mine. Either way, starting out with research about proper sizes for beginners, getting info on the MSF classes (motorcycle safety foundation) so we can both take it, then determining what he'd be riding.
I'd prefer him a street bike before he goes to the crotch rocket sport bikes, but I'd like to get opinions of those who know bikes better. Perhaps something like a naked sport bike like the Suzuki Bandit would be an option, but I only know of the 1200cc size.
For a beginner bike, I was thinking along the lines of 600-750 cc range. Again, this is just from what VERY little I know when I researched bikes back in California several years ago.
