Kind of late notice but a group from NWIJ (Northwest Indiana Jeepers) is heading down this weekend and if you have some free time you are welcome to Join us. We could really use a trail guide or two too. We will have from 5 to 10 Jeeps with some wanting wild and some that like it more on the mild side. Most of us are staying at Energy Lake Campground and if you would be interested and have time available you can contact me at georgeswartzell@comcast.net

I would love to show you guys around, if I can get down there this weekend, since I am also from NW Indiana.

Jeep Buds, George is from Lake Station, which is only about 15 miles from my hometown, Hammond, Indiana.

i've only been to TB a few times, so i'm not qualified as a trailguide, but i'm crossing my finger to be able to go to TB that weekend.

Tom would you be doing just Sat or can you do Fri as well?

George send me your Cell via PM and If I can make Fri I will call you. Only thing I am lacking is re-installing my CB, 5 minute job. I'll let you know when it gets closer. This is provided I don't get roped into work again. How many rigs of what build level would you have Fri?

Be aware, cell service around TB can be spotty, so keep that in mind...

Be aware, cell service around TB can be spotty, so keep that in mind...


Tow hooks on all rigs Cb's on most and those that don't will have a hand held. Most are on 33 to 35's with lockers and the exception on stock tires is a Rubi. Oh there just might be on Zuki with us but he owns a Jeep that is under construction so we give him a pass :rolleyes:

i wouldn't be able to do friday, unless i left to head over that way after work, around 1600-1700.

Getting all pack now and hope to pull out about 4 in the am. and be there before 5 pm. We are taking the slow (41) way to save some gas and avoid the faster speed as I'll be pulling a pop-up and don't care much for 75 mph pulling it. Hope to meet some of you then.

Bah I haven't logged on in a little while and I see this smug remark about zuki's :D Hope to get mine fixed sometime...no date or time available or parts yet though :(

Please don't take offence at the Zuki remark they are totally bad *** it's just that we are a Jeep club and not a Jeep/Zuki club ;)

I have a BBQ/BDay Party Sat and need to get things together Fri for it. Is anyone going to be out there Sunday? I know most HATE wheeling Sundays, myself included, but hey maybe a handful of hours if possible.

Mike would you be able to do Sunday?

If anyone is interested in Sunday maybe meet earlier than usual like say 8am at the check in Shack? I will run it past my wife and see what she thinks. It will likey be too hot for her and my little one to attend but depending on what we have going on I wouldn't mind getting out for 6 hours or so

Bah just cause Jeep is in the name just ask double L Allan :D I don't take offense my zuki isn't much zuki anymore and I used to wheel my Jeep until a 92 Bonneville liked it more than me.

Well went out to TB this morning for about 20 min. Mike and I were aiting on a few other guys and decided to do first hill. Did that and it was a blast. Went around to Rocky Top and started up a hill there. Well got about 3/4 the way up to stop to a grinding. Put the Jeep back on the trailer and went home. Opened up the Diff and discovered just as I suspected I sheared about 8 teeth off my D 30 Ring Gear,

Thanks to Jackie for comming out on Friday. We waited by the gate house for about an hour on Saturday and then decided to just wander around but had a great time at that. Sorry we couldn't meet more of you...maybe next time.

I sure hope that you had a nice time anyway. Too bad you couldn't have
come down a different weekend.
