That new prototype Gladiator FAR exceeds the Comanche in coolness (Though I do like Comanches too).
It's a total throwback to my ultimate dream Jeep... A Willys Pickup.
Man if they make it I will buy!
If they make it with the econo turbo diesel I will buy tomorrow.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this article has something else to say about the Gladiator going into production...

Comanche's are cooler to me anyways...they have that true 80's look to me. Beats the heck out of a TJ-front-end-looking truck IMO.
Yep, I have already heard this sad news.

I do miss the J-10 Honcho-series trucks quite a bit. They just looked...good! Even recently, I had been considering getting one; but there's none avaiable around here, and the only one I've ever even ridden in was a 1977 J-10 that was lifted 3", had the AMC 360, Dana 20 t-case, 4-speed tranny of some sort, and was running on 33's. Was going to trade my old Comanche for it...but the motor had been rebuilt, and sounded like it had a serious lifter problem, so it fell through. Plus it had a rusted-through bed anyways. Dude was asking $3000 in the first place, lol.
Anyways, yeah, would be nice to have the J-10's, J-20's, and maybe the J-2000's and 4000's back around.
