I have a Lockright in the rear axle of my 78 and was wondering if I should put the minispool in the front or switch the locker to the front and put the minispool in the rear??
I know that the minispool will cause tire wear if installed in the rear but when I am off roading I didnt know if it would bind the front end more if installed there. Or if the lockright would be better up front because how it disengages. And I think that would make it easier to turn.
Any answers are appreciated.
Thanks

Locker in the front. With the spool in the front your turning with go to ****. I would switch them if I was you. Also why a mini spool instead of full spool?

I got the minispool for 40 bucks about 3 months after I did my gear change to 4.88 and had to buy new carriers for that. Wasnt planning on a minispool would have rather had another locker but for the price couldnt pass it up.

That is what I was thinking as well. Gonna need a weekend and some more hands though.

Finally got finished I put the minis spool in the rear and yes it chips a little more going around corners but feels a lot better than the lock rite locker and doesnt feel like it has as much play as it had.
I installed my lock rite in the front and just got finished with it so havent had a chance to test it hopefully I will get that chance this weekend at LBL but would prefer to test it at TB much better

Now you know what my rear end feels like - only my 'minispool' cost me $6.73 (6013 welding rods) :D Turns a few heads when the tires bark making tight turns or parking, don't it? :)
