I just got through the "Comanche Moon" series on CBS (I hope you guys watched it). It was the PREQUAL to Lonesome dove (Robert Duval, Danny Glover, Tommy Lee Jones and Rick Schroder). Tonight I got the hankerin' to pull out my old VHS tapes and start watching Lonesome Dove (4 2hour tapes). Yes, I have a point. I FF'd thru the first few commercials but I went to get something to drink during one and came back and I figured out these tapes are from Late January 1991. HOw do I know? First of all, it flashed up and said it was 32 degrees...then some commercial came up and said something was coming on Jan 27th. Then came the big one, a brand new 1991 AWD Cherokee commercial. After this I watched all the commercials. Jeep/Eagle had a big marketing push going on and there must have been at least one Jeep commercial during every break. It was great. There was one where a guy was building a sand castle on the beach. It ended up being a wrangler....then a big wave came in and washed the wave away and then sure enough , when the wave was gone...wooosh a brand new YJ, candy apple red. It was beautiful. Anyway, just wanted to share my little experience I had today. I wonder if I could get these VHS commercials onto DVD and upload them on the site. Is this possible? YOu guys would love them.

Its hard to believe they were doing that 7/70warranty back in the early 90's. That was pretty much unheard of then.

Jeep has had some good ads over the years.

I have watched old westerns recorded from the late 80's to the early 90's and its always fun seeing old car ads. sedans going for 7-10k. I love the old Toyota truck ads. they made it sound as is they would go anywhere. They movies were primarly recorded around christmas time. they had tons of Coca Cola ads in there. Its funny to see what everyone was wearing thinking they looked SO good. im sure in 25 years i will be like "why the heck was I wearing that in my 20's.

You can have your VHS tapes converted to DVD, my mother in law has a setup she got from Dell, she has converted most all her old home movies to DVD. She somehow hooks a VCR to her computer??
