well, i did it. it was probably one of the hardest things i've ever done!! people aren't lying when they say a marathon doesn't start until after mile 20. my last two miles took about 18 min. anyhow, i had a bunch of fun and for my only training being the last few races i've done, i'm happy with my result. official chip time 3:58:09. i was shooting for under 4 and just barely made it. really helped running with the other two guys i was with. (friends from work) and yes, that's a cheesy "101" we're doing there at the finish line! (i'm the one in the orange 'hot pants' ) :) 33rd in my division and 661st over all. anyhow, i'm hooked and plan on doing more in the future. nashivlle and maybe san diego.

Good job man. that is a hck of a run. I think I ran 12 miles once. Not a fan of it. Maybe with some training I will get there.

I've run a few 10milers, I did a 1/2 marathon once, and I drove 26.2 miles a few time....

Congrats Danny...I'd bet your gonna spend the next few days to a week on recovery.

yeah, i'm pretty sore. i'm thinking full recovery about 1 week and a half

Congrats, I did Chicago in 2006 with Team in Training, cold as **** but it was worth it. I would like to do another but seem to get back into it, been out for medical reasons.

i'd love to do boston some time in the future. need about a 3:00 even to qualify... i think that's do-able with training for me. i think san diego and new york would be a blast

I think I'm still going to try to do the music half-marathon. I'm sure though that you'll probably smoke pretty good though.

A big thing about running is that a lot of it is mental. I am sure Danny can tell us that it takes a lot of mental toughness to keep going. I ran the samford half marathon last year and it nearly killed me but I did it. Great job Danny!

Boston is out of reach for me, I had a pacemaker implanted in April and just don't think I can get to that level of performance. I do want to run another marathon, San Diego always looked like it would good. I probably will do a half before I try a full. The Derby Festival is one that I would like to run.

yeah, i think you need a 3 even or just over to qualify for boston. i'll be in nashville in april for sure, possibly san diego in june. i'm also registering for the jfk 50 miler in november and doing the 10 miler team in october. going to be a busy year!!

i know, it sounds crazy... just the high you get from running. hard to explain i guess.
